Proper way CA should report account as disputed?
« on: April 24, 2012 01:23:10 PM »
I'm talking about 1692e(8) and how the CA should report the account as dispute to credit bureaus, if consumer disputes the debt within the 30 day period.  I have send several VOD letters disputing my debts and have never seen any disputes listed on my credit report.  How long should the "account disputed" remain on the report?  And where on the report is that indicated?

You are more likely to get people to read your posts if you break them into paragraphs.
Dang it, Jim! I'm a nurse, not an attorney!

(The rest of you, keep that in mind, too.)

Sorry.

I mainly am interested in how long a dispute should be indicated on your credit report, if the debt collector properly reports the debt as disputed, after you have disputed the debt in your VOD.

I disputed awhile back.  Not sure if it should still be evident now by pulling my credit report.
