I got a credit report in the mail today.
There was a rather glaring error. A property was foreclosed on, but it was listed as if it were a short sale. Not only that, but the date of the last payment was off by a few months, winding up about a year before the foreclosure.
Since this is inaccurate, should I dispute it, trying to get it off the CR? Or is that just tempting fate, since they could investigate, clean up the information, and put on a TL that would be somewhat worse? (Some other credit reports show the correct info, BTW).
