I posted on here a few weeks ago about an out of state family member who hired an atty to collect on a debt they said at first was from 1990, then they changed their mind and said it was from 2000.
The short version is after several weeks of waiting for proof of the alleged debt, they did provide a document from the Court of Appeals from 2000. The thing is I was never served back in 2000, and so I'm trying to find the court rules for serving a person because I'm not sure how this can be a valid judgment if I was never served.
I just received this paperwork today and now my atty is on vacation, and the other atty is demanding pmt by the 8th of March so this is all quite aggrivating.
If anyone can point me to where I can find the rules of MN for serving judgments, it would be most appreciated.
